Successful founder who built $3bn communications company, invests in and joins new ASX listed communications venture

This successful industry entrepreneur, who built a $3bn telecommunications company, has invested in and joined the board of new ASX listed communications company.

James Spenceley was the founder of Vocus Communications (ASX:VOC), which is currently valued at $3bn.

Vocus Group Limited, formerly known as Vocus Communications, is an international telecommunications company headquartered in North Sydney, Australia.

James has recently invested in and joined the board of Swoop Telecommunications, which is newly listed on the ASX under the ticker ASX:SWP.

Swoop was formerly known as Cirrus Communications, one of the early fixed wireless players in Australia when it was founded in 2004. It operates 220 towers across all mainland states and employs 110 staff. Swoop Internet services are delivered from our own, independent, telecommunications network.
